The 2nd annual Food, Wine and Beer Fest took place on Sunday, March 13 at Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill. Featuring more than 60 wineries, 30 restaurants, and a beer garden, the Phelps Food, Wine and Beer Fest attracted more than 300 attendees and raised more than $42,000– an extraordinary amount for an extraordinary cause!
At this unique afternoon event, guests will have the opportunity to sample delicacies at elegant dining stations hosted by exclusive local restaurants, while enjoying wines selected by the chefs to complement their fare. An extraordinary variety of beer, donated by Half Time, world’s largest beer distributor will also available for guests to enjoy.
Special cooking demo by renowned chef and restaurateur Waldy Malouf
Waldy Malouf is a highly accomplished chef, restaurateur, and author who spent 15 years as co-owner, chief operating officer and executive chef of Beacon Restaurant in New York City. In addition to running Beacon, Malouf is known in the New York area for his time as executive chef and director of operations at the Rainbow Room and executive chef at the Hudson River Club and Le Cremaillere. His extensive professional experience also includes affiliations with The Four Seasons, La Côte Basque and the St. Regis Hotel. Malouf has been the recipient of many prizes and accolades for his outstanding work. His expertise and extraordinary cuisine led to the Rainbow Room’s receiving a three-star rating from The New York Times. Waldy Malouf now works as the senior director of food and beverage operations at The Culinary Institute of America.
